Fix ambiguous prices in a supplier CSV

A price such as 1,299 is ambiguous without knowing the supplier's number convention. It could mean one thousand two hundred ninety-nine or a decimal amount. Automatic cleanup can silently change what a customer pays.

Establish the intended amount

Confirm the source currency and decimal convention with the supplier. FeedNeat does not convert currencies. Its Price field prepares the amount you supply, so verify that it is appropriate for the destination store before importing.

Use the supported decimal format

The current tool accepts unsigned values with up to two decimal places, without currency symbols or grouping separators. If the intended amount is twenty-four and a half, use 24.50. If the intended amount is one thousand two hundred ninety-nine, use 1299.00. These are FeedNeat's supported input rules, not a claim to cover every Shopify price configuration.

Correct the source with a visible review

Open the Issues view and locate the reported record. In Edit source, change the price only after confirming its meaning, then leave the cell to apply the edit. Check the export preview and change report. Keep the original supplier file so each manual correction is traceable.

Test a small draft import

A syntactically valid price can still be commercially wrong. Import a few new draft products first and inspect their prices in the store. Existing-product price updates and market-specific price columns are outside this tool's supported workflow.

Worked example

24,50 → 24.50 only if the comma is a decimal separator
$1,299.00 → 1299.00 only after confirming currency and amount
1,299 → review; no automatic interpretation
